North Carolina has 1,600 growers producing an estimated 50 million Fraser fir Christmas trees growing on over 25,000 acres.  Fraser Fir trees represent over 90% of all species grown in North Carolina. The North Carolina Christmas Tree Industry is ranked second in the nation in number of trees harvested.

The bright red lady bug and her distinct black spots are normally considered a helpful friend in our society. However, when thousands of lady bugs are swarming in your home the classic helpful image can become a frustrating nightmare. There are many myths surrounding the lady beetle that I hope to address in this article. First of all, not all lady beetles are created equal.
